www wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s fun and simple, you just have to answer the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? You can also join by answering and linking your blog post back on Sam’s post.

What I’m currently reading:

I picked up This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales last night but didn’t make a lot of progress since I fell asleep a few pages into it. I’ve read one Leila Sales book before Tonight The Street Are Ours (review here) and it was  one of those books I had a hard time connecting with. But I’m giving her another chance with this book.

I’m still reading Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella and so far so good. I’m actually enjoying it more and more!

I dropped Winter by Marissa Meyer (for now) but I’ll definitely finish that one some time soon!

What I recently finished:

Well, I the first book I managed to finish was Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo (review here) and I tell you guys, this book is brilliant! I loved every page of it and I want moooooore! Bardugo did a great job wrapping up everything and if anything, this book is addictive because no matter what you do, you just can’t put this down once you start reading it. Now I need a week to finally get over Kaz and his crew!

I also got around Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. I have to say I wasn’t hooked until the latter part of the book and it was then that I got to really feel the suspense. My review is not up until later tonight.

What I’ll read next:

I was supposed to read Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick yesterday but my reader was acting up (until now!!) so I’ll just put this one on my next reads again! It’s included in my January TBR so I still need to finish it (even if it’s already February!) Same with J.S. Carol’s The Killing Game.

That’s everything this week. HAPPY READING! 😀

      1. I just saw your comment on the spam section so I’m sorry if it took me this long to reply. I had a hard time liking the main character Elise but she’s fine, I guess. I still have few pages left so let’s see if she can still change my mind about her.

      2. I finished the book a couple of days ago and no, I didn’t like it as I thought I would. I think Leila Sales’ characters are not for me!

And maybe it’s a sign you should re-read it?

    1. Oh. That’s too bad! I decided to give his new book a try but I’m not eager to read it right away. Maybe someday.

And I guess the best part of Behind Closed Doors is its second half. It’s where I started to enjoy it and somehow it made up to how unexciting the first part is.

    1. Behind Closed Doors was an okay book for me! I expected to love it more but I guess it wasn’t quite what I hoped for.
Also, I’ve heard good things about Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock so I decided to give it a try. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my WWW! ❤

  1. I hope you like ‘Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock.’ Like in ‘Silver Linings,’ he’s dealing with mental illness and I think it’s done very well. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
