Poem: Waiting Still

I’m not the kind of girl you fall in love with
Not the kind you’ll ever notice
Maybe not the one you’ll ever need
But can you just give me a chance, please?

I will try my best to be that girl you like
Because I can be like her too
I can be funny and sweet and loud
I can be everything she is to you.

You just have to look my way and see me
Notice the girl who’s been waiting
‘Cause I’ve been loving you patiently
All these years I’ve been hurting.
