www wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s fun and simple, you just have to answer the three W’s: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? You can also join by answering and linking your blog post back on Sam’s post.

What I’m currently reading:

paper-princess

I’m still reading Paper Princess by Erin Watt and so far it’s perfect! I plan to finish it by tomorrow since I’ll be busy these following days applying for a new job. Wish me luck! 🙂

What I recently finished:

I finished A Torched Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir on one sitting last week and loved it, though not as much as the first book. It’s still as thrilling, action-packed and brutal as the first but I wasn’t quite thrilled with the ending. You can view my review here.

The second book I finished was Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones! The movie is one of my favorites ever and though the book is very different from the movie, I loved it the same! They’re both amazing and Howl is really adorable! I’ll post a review some time this week.

What I’ll read next:

There are quite positive reviews on Attachments by Rainbow Rowell but there are also some negative ones. But since some of my friends seem to like it, I decided to give it a go.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner is also next on my list since it’s in my 5 Series I’ll Finally Read in 2016 and considering it’s already October, I really need to finish this series now.

HAPPY READING everyone! 🙂

  1. I really, really want to read Paper Princess but there are just so many books on my TBR I can’t justify getting it at the moment.

I liked Attachments a lot but then I think there’s just something very likeable about Rainbow’s writing and characters. Whether you enjoy it will probably come down to your views on the MC.

    1. A friend convinced me to read Paper Princess now because she really loved it! And so I fished it right out my TBR, ignoring the other books that’ve been sitting there since forever. Haha.
I liked Rowell’s writing too and I agree that her characters are very likeable! 🙂 Thanks for visiting my WWW! 🙂

  2. I’m so happy you enjoyed Howl’s Moving Castle. It’s one of my all-time favourites and a book I re-read if I ever need cheering up. As you say, Howl is adorable but also needs a good slap half the time (which is Sophie’s job!).

I hope to read A Torch Against the Night Soon. I’m trying to be optimistic about it because I didn’t love the first book as much as a lot of readers… but we’ll see!

I enjoyed The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials but felt let down by The Death Cure. Nevermind though, the first two books are worth it and I hope you enjoy them 🙂

    1. I agree Howl needs a good slap from Sophie once in a while! Haha. I expected it to be just like the movie but I should’ve known better. But still, both were amazing!
It’s too bad you didn’t enjoy An Ember in the Ashes as I did. I loved it more than ATAtN but you should give it a try. Who knows you’ll find it better than Ember.
Thank you for dropping by my WWW, Claire! 🙂

  3. Howl’s Moving Castle is a book that has long been on my TBR! I really need to get to that one soon! I’m kind of ashamed to admit that I haven’t read any Diana Wynne Jones…. 😦
I really enjoyed the Maze Runner but I agree with Claire… the last book didn’t really land like I hoped it would! I hope you do enjoy the start of the series though 🙂
    Happy Reading!

    1. Thank you! Don’t worry, it was my first book of Diana Wynne Jones, if that makes you feel better. 🙂
I have high hopes with The Maze Runner but let’s just see. Thank you for visiting my WWW.

  4. I really enjoyed Attachments. It was a fun book and I enjoyed Rowell’s more adult themes. I wasn’t a big fan of Maze Runner but it’s a quick read for sure! Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

    1. I’m yet to read more of Rowell’s books but so far I loved Fangirl and Eleanor & Park and I’m hoping to enjoy Attachments too! I’ve heard mixed reviews of The Maze Runner but I still want to see for myself. 🙂
